Polarization in the 12th Century
Every room was individually designed and given a color scheme all its own. This idea dates back to the 12th Century. In those days, the dress code imposed by the powers-that-be (sumptuary law) would decree who was allowed to wear which colors. Back then, the color of clothes was not a matter of taste but an issue of power and social standing.
