         Residing in style

These old walls have heard quite a bit in their days, and maybe, when things get really quiet, we can hear the distant echoes of minnesong resounding softly through the room... Courtly love, or minne in medieval terms, is a form of worship usually reserved for a lady of high rank, and is entirely different from the spontaneous expressions of emotions. Minnesong is the highly ritualized form of sung love lyric popular with Western European aristocracy during the High Middle Ages, including the emperor himself.
