14.7 | Tower Room
with a view of the "Golden Tower"
The dynasty tower, am architectural specimen dating back to Medieval Italy, is a typical status symbol reflecting the importance of influential patrician families. The higher a family's tower, the higher the family's social standing. The individual towers were designed as fortresses, and the stories higher up (usually consisting of only a single room) could be reached only via ladders which were pulled up in the event of a siege.
